What we collect
When you send the contact form
- Your name and email address.
- Your company and phone number, if you give them.
- The topic you choose and your message.
- The date and time you sent it, the page you sent it from, and any campaign tags in the link that brought you.
When you comment on the blog
Your comment and the name shown with it, and more if you sign in with Google. Comments on the blog explains it all.
When you visit any page
Our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks. We don’t use this to identify you.
Comments on the blog
You can comment on a blog post as a guest, or signed in with your Google account. Comments are public: anyone can read them.
What we keep
- Your comment, the name shown with it, and when you posted it.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account’s identifier, its name and its email address. We never show your email address. We don’t receive your password, contacts or anything else in your Google account, and we don’t keep the tokens Google sends us.
- A one-way code made from your IP address, so we can limit how often one address posts. We can’t turn it back into your address, and we clear it after 30 days.
Why
To show your comment under the post, to keep spam and abuse off the site, and to answer requests about your data. We read guests’ comments before they appear.

Why we use it
We use what you send us only to:
- reply to your enquiry and continue the conversation you started;
- keep a record of enquiries, so nothing gets lost;
- keep the form free of spam and abuse.
You consent to this when you tick the box on the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us; we will then delete your enquiry. We don’t add you to a mailing list, sell your data or use it for advertising. Blog comments are covered under Comments on the blog.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers. They process your data only on our instructions and under contracts that require them to protect it.
| Provider | What it does for us |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosts the website, stores form enquiries and blog comments, checks that a form or a guest’s comment was sent by a person (Turnstile), and measures page visits without cookies (Web Analytics). |
| Resend | Delivers each enquiry, and notices of new comments, to our mailbox by email. |
| Lets you sign in with your Google account to comment, if you choose to. | |
| Google Workspace | Hosts the mailbox where we read and answer enquiries. |
These providers may process data outside India and outside your own country. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.[Confirm the data regions and safeguards with each provider.]
How long we keep it
Enquiries sent through the form are kept for 12 months, then deleted automatically. If your enquiry becomes a project, the emails we exchange become part of our business records and are kept as the law requires.[Business records retention period]
Blog comments follow the periods under Comments on the blog.
Cookies and analytics
This site doesn’t set advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics count page visits without cookies and without identifying you.
If you sign in with Google to comment, we set one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and another that lasts the ten minutes a sign-in may take. They are needed for signing in, they’re set only when you choose to sign in, and signing out removes them.
If you choose a light or dark theme, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. It never reaches us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy;
- have it corrected, completed or updated;
- have it deleted;
- withdraw your consent;
- object to or restrict how we use it, and receive it in a portable format (under the GDPR);
- nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to (under the DPDP Act).
To use any of these rights, or to raise a grievance, write to contact@whitepageresearch.com. We will reply within[response period]. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to the data protection authority where you live.
How we protect it
We send all traffic over HTTPS, limit access to enquiries to the people who need to read them, and use providers who hold recognised security certifications. No system is perfectly secure, but we will tell you and the authorities about a breach that affects your data, as the law requires.
This website isn’t aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes and contact
If we change this notice, we will publish the new version here and update the date at the top. For anything about your data, write to contact@whitepageresearch.com.
